    First stage in promoting your website in search engines, in order to increase your traffic, is to prepare find the best keywords that fit your website. Think about the words that user will type in search engines in order to see your website. Here are some tips on how to find the best keywords.

1. Straight to the point.
If you sell computers, your keywords list will start with the words computer/s.
Have a brain storm with your colleagues and friends. This is the best way to find non technical words that everyone can understand and use not only professionals. Check your competitors. See which keywords they use.

2. Don’t be too specific but not the opposite as well.
If you sell computers, don’t choose the word sells. Because you will get lost among millions website, but on the other hand don’t use the keyword "sell IBM computers in north Italy", because most of the chances that no one will look for that keyword.

3. Diversion of keywords.
Every word can perform in the single and numerous.
Find synonyms for each word. It's very easy you can find a lot of tools for that on the net, and in most of the word processors.

4. Define keyword hierarchy.
Think which words are the most important and use them a lot in the homepage.
Use the secondary keywords in the inner pages that are linked from the homepage and so on.

5. Each page in the website can have different relevant keyword.
If you sell computers and you have different pages for keyboards, monitors and printers, use for each page the relevant keywords
