SEO – your codes just make the difference

Proliferation of web designing tools on the Internet surely makes people more confused than convinced. The number of free downloadable tools has worsened the situation. As a beginner or even a new entrant to web designing from any other field including the software development industry we find selection of right tool to be a Himalayan task. We will not discuss about any tool in particular, but will try to emphasize upon the universally accepted coding standard as that has been recognized as a parameter for ranking by most of the search engines. The experience reveals that a w3c-validated site finds a higher rung, other parameters remain constant.

You may take the help of any tool for designing a website and to host it onto the server. Once you go to the View->Source option of Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox or any such Internet browser, you can glance at the html source code. You may also take the help of Notepad (in most cases) to view the source code and change them according to your requirements. The changing code requires profound knowledge in HTML programming. The situation has become more complex due to the presence of a wide variety of free downloadable scripts available on the Internet that surely enhance the glittering image of the web page. More interestingly these scripts are self-dependent and are very easy to incorporate in your web page, where the knowledge of HTML is not the primary criteria. Some of them even guide you by offering guidelines as to where one should one embed which tag, under the BODY tag or HEAD tag. In brief, incorporation of tailor-made scripts in web page for glorification has become a cakewalk today.

The problem crops up when you want to change certain parts after embedding the scripts in your web page. After all, debugging is always more difficult.. A trend towards the w3c compatibility also demands a lot of changes even in the existing web pages. The key advantage of w3c sites is that it becomes browser independent for visibility and you have got hardly any control over the traffic and their browsers. Another significant advantage of w3c is that you can edit the site/ page by any tool and it will maintain its uniformity. The need for a w3c-validated site has reopened the cherished tradition of Open Source Code. Remember every tool maintains its style and functionality while offering you user-friendly tools for web page design which while coding maintain their identity in the Meta Tag or by other means emancipating one from all interferences and interventions of proprietary notifications.
