Increase traffic for non textual websites |

Most of web designers ignore completely from Search Engines Optimization (SEO) and the need of content in a website in order to be well indexed in search engines and by that to increase traffic. Many designers use graphic images, flash or images menus and some websites designed completely in flash technology which can't be read by search engines. The robots that crawl in the net look for unique and relevant content to crawl to. They can't "read" images.
So how can we promote web sites like that? Whatever it is its better if you know that you already start in a lower position then a web site that build with textual content, the robots can't see images or flash; only Text. It will always be better if you add content to your site. Another thing is that a website that built only with images will be uploaded slower then textual site. Make sure to compress the images as much as you can without harm the quality. So what can be done? 1. Try to replace the main navigation with textual one. If you can, maybe add second navigation at the bottom of the page. The importance of having textual links is very high, because this is one of the things that show the robots the way to your inner pages. If there won't be live links (textual) the robots will see only the homepage. 2. Add "Alt tag" "meta tags" and "title tags" – you can see here how to add these tags. Basically this text will replace and "explain" to the robots what this site is all about. Use anchor text with the relevant keywords in the title tag to add more "strength" to the link. 3. Get inbound links – Best things for you to do is to have as many links as possible, pointing to your site. These sites need to be with a relevant content that similar to your site and better to have them with High Page Rank. There are many sites that will ask for payment but if this site has a lot of traffic it can be good idea to have your link there. To Summarize things, always have a second thought when you make your site in flash or as an image. Try to find as many places as you can to replace the images with text. Remember!
