Meta tags are located in your website source inside of the head tag.
It is one of the easiest ways to bring natural (not paid) traffic to your website.
Although these days the main search engines, like Google, ignore meta tags, the small engines still look at it, and some of the big search engines as well, (but with reservation and checking them with the actual text) in order to never underestimate the meta tags. There are three main Meta tags: title, description and keywords. TITLE This tag located in the head tag. Its function is to describe the page content in one line. This line should be changed within each page, to fit its content, and will be used in the search engines in the search result. For example this page title is "how to bring traffic - Meta tags Optimization" and in search engines it will look like this: ![]() This is the used source code in this page: DESCRIPTION This tag located in the head tag as well. It's function is to describe shortly the page content. This line should be up to 20 letters, will describe the page content. For example, this page description will be "an article on meta tags" and the source will look like this: This tag, not like the title tag, will not be displayed to the user, although some of the search engines use this line in the description, when search result appears. The used source in this page: KEYWORDS This meta tag is very important. Use it to write all the keywords u think the user will type in order to find your website. Because these words cannot be seen by the users you can write as many variation as u want for each word. For example: traffic, trafic, keywords, key words, etc. the words will be divided by comas. The used source in this page: To summarize, do not count only on Meta tags. The search engines have a lot of criteria to classify websites and Meta tags are only one part. Make sure that the text that is written in the meta tags will be logical sentences and describe what is really written in the page. ----------------------------------------------------
